Who We Are
Nira and Nora Introduce NBN Behavior
It is important to remember that no one dog is the same and not every dog will respond to the same training techniques the same. I am here to help you find the best approach for your dog so that we can ensure your dog is stimulated in both mind and body.
OUR VALUES
We are dedicated to making training accessible. NBN Behaviors strives to keep costs low to ensure everyone has the ability to have a loving and safe relationship with their dog.
If after you look at our prices they are still too high PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reach out to us and let us know. We will work with you to find a price that is functional for you. We do not believe that money should ever be the barrier to a dog finding and keeping a forever home.
Compassion Over Cost: Let's Work Together
Dog training is about more than cues –it’s about learning to communicate. At NBN Behaviors, we guide you through a journey of learning your dog’s language and teaching them yours. For our clients, this means creating a lasting connection rooted in trust and clarity.
Consistency: The Language of Trust and Connection
At NBN Behaviors, we believe every dog deserves a loving home. That’s why we partner with shelters and local initiatives to reduce stray populations and help dogs stay in forever homes. For our clients, this means supporting a business that gives back and strengthens bonds between pets and their owners, creating a more dog-friendly community.

Meet Nora the Inspiration of NBN Behaviors
Nora's Story
This is Nora. She is a 12 year old white Pitbull boxer. I adopted Nora when she was approx. 2 years old. At the time we had an older Lab Beagle named Buddy who quickly became her momma duck. I loved watching the two of them interact, most of the time Nora would simply follow buddy around like a puppy doing what ever he suggested. Then as Buddy's health began to deteriorate I watched the change in their dynamic evolve. Nora became the Nanny dog all Pitbull's are known for. I was so thankful to have grown up with two amazing dogs, Nora and Buddy. Nora was my the first family dog I had where I was in charge of her training. It was such an incredible feeling building that unspoken bond with her, and how invigorating it was to watch the gears in her head turn as she problem solved through training sessions. While Nora was not the first dog I trained she was the dog who truly made everything Click.
Our Team
Nira Grynheim
Founder
Dogs have been a major part of my life ever since I was adopted from Kazakhstan. From an early age, I was exposed to a variety of overwhelming languages, but dogs were different. Being with them was calming, their language was nonverbal, and I could finally communicate in a way I preferred. From then on dogs became my safe place.
Now 24, I hold a Bachelor’s in Animal Sciences with a focus on Behavior and Well-Being, along with minors in Critical Disability Studies and Psychology from Purdue University. With years at the Indiana Canine Assistant Network (ICAN), an accredited service dog organization, I honed my skills as a handler.
My mission is to enlighten others on viewing the world through a dog’s perspective, emphasizing the importance of listening to their nonverbal cues. Excited to engage with you and build the NBN Behaviors community.”
History of NBN
When I was a little kid, I loved hiding my spare coins in secret spots all around the house and in the car. Doing so earned me the nickname ‘The NBN, The National Bank of Nira.” When it came time to decide on a name for the company I knew I wanted the company initials to be “NBN”. Ironically NBN ended up being a mix of my two childhood dogs names and I. Nora (N), Buddy (B), and Nira (N)
NBN behaviors was created as a way for Nira to pursue her love of dogs and make it accessible to everyone out there.
Dogs are such a special blessing to the world, they remind us to LOVE. A dog doesn’t care who you are, how much you make, or what you’ve done in your past, they only care if you are kind and loving in the present. The beauty of dogs is that they can bring people together through all different walks of life, just because of a shared interest of love.
